Finally! A fix for my chronic "C-Media USB Headset Speakers" are too loud problem →

I bought a USB Headset over a year ago and the volume range on the things set by the drivers that Windows 7 installs by default were intolerable. Anything over 2% was way too loud, and often I had to lower the volume in specific programs as well to make the sound level reasonable.

These drivers fix that problem.

Don’t run the installer in the zip! Seriously! The sound management software that comes with these drivers blows chunks and crashes windows a whole bunch. Just go to the device manager and manually update the drivers yourself. If you don’t know how to do this, Google it, it is not difficult.
